Bell & Ross adds this new travel watch just in time for the holidays
In 2019, Bell & Ross created a masterpiece with the Bell & Ross BR 05. Simple, and understated, it was the perfect timepiece for urban adventures. Now the brand has one upped themselves with this new Bell & Ross BR 05 GMT White and it is the perfect watch for the nomad who loves travel.
Aside from looking extremely good, the BR 05 GMT White has two distinctive qualities that make it the perfect travel partner, which are a GMT complication and pearly white dial.
Another stand out feature of the watch is its indication of a dual time zone, making it as practical as it is attractive while making the watch look more unique and distinctive than anything else you could put on your wrist.
The 41mm case of the BR 05 GMT White is made entirely from steel and has a polished and satin-brushed finish depending on what angle you view the timepiece from. Plus with smartwatches dividing everyone between round or rectangular, this watch is both and pulls it off flawlessly too.
Both the hour and minute hands, numerals and indexes are all covered with photo-luminescent Super Lumi-Nova to ensure maximum legibility in any situation and any time of day. After all, legibility has always been one of the most important factors to the French watchmaker.
Bruno Belamich, creative director of Bell & Ross, stated, “After testing quite a few different shades, we chose the most precious white, the choice fell on a metallic white, galvanised with a particular texture.”
They clearly made the right choice as we do agree that it goes perfectly with the metal case. The subtle red tones in the most obscure places are also a nice use of colour and they serve another purpose too, to convey the importance of the information they point to.
Watchmaking often does see the colour red prevalent on the GMT hands. Just as with the BR 05 GMT White and in this watch it is used to indicate the second time zone which is displayed on a 24-hour scale with day/night indication too.
