This June 2024 on BBC Player, dive into the kingdom of whales, dolphins and other cetaceans this World Ocean Day in June with Whale with Steve Backshall on BBC Earth and get closer than ever to the lives of these majestic, mysterious animals.

Adventurer and conservationists Steve Backshall puts his specialised freediving skills to use, diving without scuba equipment to enter the underwater world of whales and dolphins on their terms. Never-seen-before filming techniques captures Steve’s thrilling first-hand encounters and breath-taking underwater footage in each unique habitat across the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian oceans.

Outside the factory, Cherry Healey investigates the science and innovation behind each product, including jelly beans, jeans and bath bombs. Meanwhile, historian Ruth Goodman reveals how the products were invented and popularised.

The crime-solving Vespa-driving Catholic nun is back to solve more crimes in this acclaimed murder-mystery series.
