It’s film’s biggest night and you can experience the grandeur, prestige and excitement of the Academy Awards live. Astro is broadcasting the 95^th Oscars for the benefit of Malaysians. And it’s a good thing too because one of our own is in the running.

How To Catch It

On 13 March 2023, Astro customers can watch the 95^th Oscars live starting from 6.30am. The broadcast begins with the red carpet followed by the awards show at 8am. Catch the telecast on Showcase Movies (Astro Ch413) and Astro GO. There’s also a same day encore at 7.30pm and 9pm.

Who’s Hosting It

Renowned comedian and TV host, Jimmy Kimmel is the master of ceremony for the prestigious awards for film. Taking to the stage at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood, Los Angeles, Kimmel will lead the proceedings for the night as Hollywood celebrates the best cinematic scenes of 2022 from all around the globe.

And The Award Goes To…

The who’s who of entertainment will be vying for awards at this year’s ceremony. This includes contention for Best Actor and Actress, Best Picture, Best International Feature Film, Best Animated Feature, Best Original Song, Live Action Short Film, Best Director, Best Documentary Feature, Best Visual Effects, Best Cinematography and more.  Malaysians can also cheer on fellow Malaysian actress, Tan Sri Datuk Michelle Yeoh, nominated for Best Actress for her role in the film, Everything Everywhere All At Once.
