The Aston martin DB12 marks a new era for the next generation of sports cars

British luxury supercar maker, Aston Martin, has unveiled the new DB12. A quantum leap forward in sporting character and dynamic capability, combining an unmatched driving experience with exceptional refinement, state-of-the-art technology and indulgent luxury, this car stands as the world’s first Super Tourer.

The Aston Martin DB12 takes everything you know about the DB lineage and turns it all around. It achieves this with its meticulously honed chassis and class-leading Twin-Turbocharged V8 making 680PS of power and 800Nm of torque. This ensures the driving experience will be second to none.

Massive Performance, Superior Styling

Moreover, the DB12 is engineered to maximise performance and intensify emotion and is equipped with Michelin Pilot Sport 5s tyres made specific to the brand. It also boasts an all-new suspension system and an exceptionally precise and direct Electronic Power Assisted Steering (EPAS) system and an Electronic Rear Differential (E-Diff).

The Aston Martin DB12 is also blisteringly fast with a century sprint time of just 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 325km/h courtesy of its roaring and potent 4.0 twin turbocharged V8 engine. This exceptional hand-built engine, tuned by the Marque’s engineers now makes 34 percent more power compared to the outgoing DB11.

Marek Reichman, Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer of Aston Martin, said, “DB12 is our design definition of a Super Tourer. Historically, the GT code among most contemporary enthusiasts meant some semblance of comfort, speed, and refinement.”

He added, “but since the Aston Martin customer is no ordinary motorist, and we no longer simply design objects in and of themselves, we’ve fused everything together on the DB12 — the handling, dynamics, powertrain, sense of space, and styling— and we’ve done it to the max through technology to deliver this new category of performance-design driving experience.”

On top of that, buyers can also employ skills of Q by Aston Martin, the brand’s bespoke division, to completely personalise their own DB12 which comes fully equipped with all the modern amenities like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well as a 15 speaker high performance loudspeakers made in cooperation with Bowers & Wilkins.
