Enjoy a series of PADI-AWARE dive programmes to understand the misunderstood sharks

In conjunction with Shark Awareness Day, premium lifestyle destination, Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) adds two exciting new offerings to its range of scuba diving programmes at S.E.A. Aquarium. Both programs allow guests to learn more about these misunderstood sea creatures, and further connect with the wonders of the ocean. This is the new AWARE Shark.AWARE

Swim With The Sharks

The conservation specialty course and PADI Discover Scuba Diving programme also offer unique opportunities for marine life lovers to explore the captivating world below. These new offerings further demonstrate the commitment of RWS to providing immersive experiences that deepen the appreciation for marine life and promote conservation efforts at the same time.

Moreover, certified divers not only swim alongside, but help you better understand these “Apex Predators.” Designed for certified divers aged 12 years and above, you will learn about the importance of shark conservation during the AWARE Shark Conservation Specialty course.

You’re In Good Fins And Hands

These divers are rewarded with an unparalleled experience of swimming alongside over 100 sharks from 12 different species, including the endangered Scalloped Hammerhead shark, Silvertip shark, and Sandbar shark in the Shark Seas Habitat at S.E.A. Aquarium. Launched in conjunction with Shark Awareness Day, the programme will be available for booking from 14 July 2023.AWARE

In addition to the exhilarating dive with the spectacular resident sharks, you will also learn the value of sharks to marine ecosystems and economies, causes of declining shark populations, and how you can become a proud shark defender as sharks often fall prey to commercial and recreational fishing, and the course aims to raise awareness of these threats among participants.

Stay Safe, Follow The Rules

The course adheres to comprehensive AWARE guidelines, including resources such as the AWARE Shark Conservation Study Guide, and AWARE Shark Conservation Lesson Guide to Impact on Sharks. The AWARE Shark Conservation Specialty course is priced at SGD488 (RM1,676) per head for an eight-hour session.AWARE

Sessions are held Tuesdays to Fridays with each session accommodating up to four pax. To book, please go to The Official RWS Booking Website and for more information, visit the Official RWS Website.
