This Collab Redefines German Excellence

We all know that it is not easy to engineer something better than the Germans but what happens when two German giants come together? Well in simple terms, it produces the most iconic and hard to beat collaborative partnership of all time. Rimowa and Adidas have done just that.

Both brands are revered as leaders in their respective fields and now Rimowa and Adidas celebrate the spirit of mobility with their first ever capsule collection which will equip explorers with the perfect tools to make their way through and find their way out of the cities of today.

This cross-category collection is made exclusively in Germany and features modern designs such as Rimowa’s first ever aluminium backpack and the Adidas NMD_S1 sneakers. Both designs are utilitarian but they also spruce up their style by incorporating colours like khaki and shades of titanium with orange accents.

The collection was created for the urban explorer to seek out and reconnect with nature itself and is inspired by a desire to find fulfillment in the most unlikely places. What’s more, the Rimowa X Adidas NMD_Backpack, another result of this collaboration, provides technical solutions making it the perfect overnight bag.

Made from Rimowa’s signature grooved aluminium, this backpack comes equipped with many practical functionalities like padded utility shoulder straps fitted with a carabin and thumb loops to rope weight-bearing straps and a grab handle. It also features Adidas inspired foam ridges overlaying the ridges for maximum comfort.

Additionally, the Adidas NMD_S1 sneakers were also built with the urban explorer in mind and is a contemporary lifestyle shoe with one goal, always keep moving. This iteration of the Rimowa collaborated sneakers feature signature Primeknit uppers in a titanium inspired colourway.

The midsole of these Adidas sneakers contain the coordinates of both brands’ headquarters in Germany as well as an imprint stating ‘Made in Germany’ which signifies the extraordinary partnership between these two German brands. This look is completed by the orange coloured shoelaces which really makes the shoe pop.

This German collaboration will be available on 17 November 2022 in limited quantities at Rimowa stores so hurry up and grab yourself a piece of superior German engineering before it runs out.
