Prada Tropico will feature a special men’s and women’s collection

The Prada Tropico Pop-up Store is dedicated to a special selection of ready-to-wear, bags, footwear and accessories and features a striking contrast of white and blue, accentuated by lighting effects and striped patterns. It revisits the brand’s visual hallmarks in a contemporary style, taking inspiration from imaginary far-off worlds.

When And Where

Open from 5 to 21 May 2023 at the Suria KLCC mall in Kuala Lumpur, the pop-up pairs the conventional right-angled design with the pop flavour of elements like neon lights. These are used for the name of the brand and the iconic triangle logo that alternate around the perimeter of this cool pop-up store.

Moreover, at the centre of the Prada Tropico pop-up is an astonishing lush stylised forest in monochrome white, which seems to break loose from its physical limits like an abstract, living presence. The floors continue the effect of the stripes on the walls, while exotic timber furniture imbues the atmosphere with a relaxing quality.

For Him And For Her

This evocative space contains a selection of men’s and women’s products, mixing themes from the brand’s latest catwalk shows with new interpretations of the brand’s iconic motifs.

The Prada Tropico Women’ collection is clean, light and minimalized. Essential pieces are re-examined and repurposed, like the white popeline shirt, bull denim tops, cashmere knits, re-nylon skirts alongside hyper-classic marinière stripes. Some pastel hues brighten up the collection on vichy bucket hats and fun tessuto printed bags, alongside a variety of raffia products including the Prada tote and Soft Cage sandals.

The Men’s collection on the other hand conveys a sophisticated and elevated look, focusing on natural materials like mohair, nappa leather, silk, and cashmere. Luxurious summer looks emphasizing on fabrics such as linen or popeline as well as Hawaiian prints featuring floral placements or geometrical prints in iconic Prada fits as well.

What’s more, raffia hats are joined by denim or re-nylon fabric models. Formal brushed-leather mocassins sit alongside padded nappa sandals and Soft Cage sandals available in white, black and military green and nylon slip ons to complete the looks.
