The debut collection includes candles and diffusers

Following the introduction of the Paul Smith Home earlier in the year, the Maison now unveils its inaugural home fragrance collection. Inspired by some of Paul’s most cherished memories, the collection draws on the designer’s affinity for color and bold design. The collection features a series of collectible, reusable candles and diffusers.

The Paul Smith inaugural collection includes four scents and each one is based on one of Paul’s most evocative memories that will take your nose on an olfactory journey into the designer’s world. The scents are named after idiomatic character and personality traits as a nod to Paul’s distinctly British sense of humor.

The first scent in the Paul Smith inaugural collection is the “Botanist.” This scent was inspired by the clean-cut tailoring at Paul’s first Nottingham shop and it evokes freshly-cut grass and greenery. The scent also has notes of Haitian vetiver, moss and lemon as well.

The second scent in the Paul Smith inaugural collection is called “Bookworm” and this scent is reminiscent of the stacks of books and papers in Paul’s office and evokes libraries and warming amber. The heart of this scent are Jamaican pimento berry, grapefruit and even cedar wood.

“Early Bird” is the third scent in the Paul Smith inaugural collection and it recalls the reclaimed iron railings at Paul’s London shop. It was made to evoke rain falling on wet pavements on a cloudy morning. It is blended with notes of Indonesian patchouli oil, iris and rain accord.

The fourth and final scent in the inaugural collection is “Daydreamer” which was inspired by Paul’s long summer holidays. It evokes walled herb gardens and cycling through sunny fields at golden hour. The scent is made with French lavender oil, clary sage and verbena.

What’s more, each of the scents has been meticulously crafted by two IFF (International Flavors and Fragrances) perfumers Celine Barrel and Meabh McCurtin. Each are presented in a two-tone complimentary colored glass. The best part is, each of these vessels is reusable making it sustainable and beautiful.
