The partnership between Panerai and Brabus forges ahead with this new watch
Panerai, the legacy watchmaker that combines Swiss watchmaking finesse and gorgeous Italian design and Brabus, a world-renowned German luxury mobility brand forged a partnership last year. This partnership was rooted in their shared ambition to redefine the limits of technology, style and performance in their respective spheres.
The result was a series of watches designed to merge the best traits of both brands which gave the watches a unique identity of their own. Now, the two brands are collaborating on a new watch to enter the Brabus Marine Shadow series called the Submersible S Brabus Verde Militare Edition.
Moreover, the watch shares many similarities with its predecessors but utilizes new and unique materials and is completely redesigned. The watch features a 47mm case composed of Carbotech, a composite material pioneered in watchmaking by Panerai which is Lighter than steel or titanium and resistant to corrosion.
However, the Submersible S Brabus Verde Militare Edition will only be limited to only 200 units and will feature accents in military green. This is inline with the theme of the Brabus Marine Shadow series which is a series of luxury powerboats, characterized by a stealth green hue.
Additionally, the Submersible S Brabus Verde Militare Edition watch is powered by a movement established on the foundation of the P.4000 caliber, the first automatic movement with an off-center micro-rotor developed by the Panerai Manufacture at Neuchatel.
What’s more, the cutting-edge technology on the Submersible S Brabus Verde Militare Edition allows for the best visibility of the skeletonized movement, unobstructed by the date disc. This is featured through the window at 3 o’clock, thanks to the watch’s Panerai patented polarized date display.
Furthermore, the Submersible S Brabus Verde Militare Edition also features a unidirectional rotating bezel to calculate immersion time and GMT function. This is orchestrated by the singular, off-center oscillating weight, which allows for bi-directional winding, whereby the two spring barrels efficiently wind the watch while its worn.
The Submersible S Brabus Verde Militare Edition is also water-resistant to 30 bar (roughly 300 meters) and features two straps, a black bi-material version composed of calf leather melded with a rubber base and a second in military green rubber. The watch will come with a screwdriver to remove the buckle and change between them.
