Nobu Finally Has A Restaurant In Singapore
Share
Singapore finally has a Nobu. It’s ironic though that considering how extensive the landscape of cuisines the Lion City has to offer, it took this long for Nobu Matsuhisa to open his first restaurant here.
Kuala Lumpur for instance welcomed its first Nobu here in 2015. Originally housed on the 56th floor of Petronas Tower 3, Nobu Kuala Lumpur was a first for Southeast Asia. The restaurant though shifted locations in March 2021 and is now situated at Four Seasons Place KL. To date, celebrity chef Nobu Matsuhisa has 50-odd restaurants to his name across the world.
This of course brings us to Nobu Singapore.
Nobu’s Latest
The restaurant officially welcomed guests to its location at the Four Seasons Hotel Singapore on 1st June. Set in a sculpted open-air Japanese garden and bar against the backdrop of the Singapore city skyline, the new restaurant allows diners to experience the world-renowned culinary artistry and craftsmanship of the celebrated chef at its finest.
On the menu are signature dishes such as his famed Black Cod Miso, Yellowtail Jalapeño and Nobu Classics like Toro Tartare with Caviar, Cup Sushi and Nobu Crispy Rice. Diners can also opt for the multi-course Omakase menu and the Teppanyaki dinner, which boasts the chef’s greatest hits.
Nobu Singapore also carries an extensive beverage programme complementing the ever-evolving menus. Diners can pair their meal with bespoke craft cocktails along with Nobu sake, brewed exclusively by Hokusetsu brewery for Nobu restaurants.
The new restaurant is helmed by Chef Hideki Maeda, a protégé of Nobu Matsuhisa, previously headed Nobu London. Joining Chef Hideki is Executive Sushi Chef Takahiro Tim Otomo, who previously served at Nobu Hotel Caesars Palace.
Both chefs are tasked in creating the signature dishes and omakase menus that Nobu is renowned for. Each dish celebrates the freshest and finest ingredients that natural and clean Japanese flavours and artful culinary expertise.
