Two variants of the Renault Zoe E-Tech will be made available for Malaysia
TC Euro Cars (TCEC), the sole franchise holder of Renault vehicles in Malaysia, today has officially launched the new fully electric Renault Zoe E-Tech with improved performance, increased range up to 395km and class-leading 0-100 percent 22kW AC charge time and even 12 to 36-month subscription plans.
As announced during its preview last year, the new Renault Zoe E-Tech will be made available in two variants, namely the Zoe R110 base variant which costs RM165,000 and the top-spec Zoe R135 which sets one back RM179,000. Both are on the road without insurance prices.
Moreover, the Renault Zoe E-Tech is equipped with the brand’s latest 52kWh battery which delivers more power, specifically up to 135PS and 245Nm of torque as well as an increased WLTP range of up to 395km along with class-leading 0 to 100 percent charge time of just three hours via AC charging at 22kW.
Wong Hoe Mun, CEO of TC Euro Cars, said, “Over the years, Renault Zoe has established itself as one of the pioneering urban electric cars in the world. It has raised the bar, thanks to its increased power and range. With its distinctive fresh design, modernised interior and technologies, the new Zoe takes the pleasure of 100 percent electric city driving to a new dimension.”
The Renault Zoe E-Tech also features the next-generation Z.E. 50 battery (the same size as its predecessor) but with a higher energy capacity of 52kWh. This translates to more power in addition to an increase of over 20 percent in the WLTP range, more accurately, 395km for the Zoe R110 and 386km for the top spec Zoe R135.
On top of that, both variants of the Renault Zoe E-Tech feature a single-speed gearbox driving the front wheels but with different motor configurations. The Zoe R110 gets an 80kW motor that makes 110PS and 225Nm of torque, which leads to a century sprint time of 11.4 seconds on to a top speed of 135km/h.
For safety, both variants come with four airbags and are equipped with lane departure warning (LDW), electronic stability control (ESC), anti-slip regulation (ASR), ABS, emergency brake assist (EBA) and hill start assist (HSA). The Renault Zoe R135 adds an adaptive high beam (AHB), blind spot warning and hands-free park assist too.
