Here Is The List Of  Culinary Events To Expect From Kita Food Festival 2024

These new culinary events from this year’s Kita Food Festival are set to take KL by storm

The Kita Food Festival is set to dazzle Kuala Lumpur from 4 to 8 September , showcasing top culinary talent from across the region. This highly anticipated event will feature an array of gastronomic experiences, including Four-Hands Dinners, Kitchen Takeovers, and exclusive Masterclasses.Food

Cook Off 

Kickstarting the festivities on 4 and 5 September, Michelin-starred chef Jimmy Ophorst of PRU (Phuket) will collaborate with Masashi Horiuchi at Potager for a Four-Hands Dinner. Known for his commitment to farm-to-table dining, Ophorst will bring his renowned green-starred approach to Kuala Lumpur.

On 5 and 6 September, Ben Devlin of Pipit (Australia) will helm a Kitchen Takeover at Yellow Fin Horse, presenting a plant-forward menu featuring native Australian ingredients. Also on 5 September, Johnson Ebenezer of Farmlore (India) will join Shaun Ng of HIDE for a Four-Hands Dinner, highlighting ethical and local Malaysian ingredients.Kita

The Highlights

September 6 will see Prin Polsuk of Samrub Samrub Thai (Bangkok) offer Southern Thai Fisherman cuisine at Raw, Else Kuala Lumpur. Hans Christian of August (Jakarta) will spotlight New Nusantara cuisine at Akâr Dining from 6 to 7 September , while Louis Tikaram of Stanley (Brisbane) will bring a fusion of Fijian and Chinese flavours to Fifty Tales on 7 September.

The festival’s highlight, A Food Affair at The Toffee on Jalan Raja Chulan, will debut on 7 September. This all-day event features keynote talks, interactive masterclasses, and a vibrant marketplace. Kita

The Finale

Wrapping up on 8 September, the Big Sunday Barbecue will feature exciting grill pairings such as Pete Smit with Ignis, Su Kim Hock with Dewakan, and Anis Nabilah with SAJ Bistronomy. Tickets are available on the Kita Food Festival website.
