A While ago, Honda Malaysia unveiled the new Honda Civic e:HEV RS which is a hybrid model of the popular Honda Civic, Now Honda Malaysia held a small ceremony at one of its authorized dealers, MH Prestige Auto sdn bhd in celebration of the first owner of the car, Mr. Chin Kok Fung.

Honda Malaysia threw this little soiree for Mr. Chin as a token of the company’s appreciation for him being the first customer to register for his vehicle late last November. Honda Malaysia has also delivered more than 180 units of the Honda Civic e:HEV RS so far across the country.

Moreover, Honda Malaysia Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Hironobu Yoshimura said, “We are delighted to have launched this new variant. This is the first time the Civic has been introduced with a 2.0L e:HEV powertrain and for Honda Malaysia, this is definitely a leap forward in our effort to offer the most advanced hybrid technology to Malaysians.

Mr. Chin Kok Fun added, “I have always been a fan of performance driven cars. When Honda introduced a 2.0L e:HEV powertrain, I was immediately impressed with the technology and performance it offers. I am looking forward to experience the thrill of owning this exciting e:HEV technology and to test the car’s potential.”

Mr. Yoshimura also stated, “In addition, we would like to express our gratitude to our customers who have placed their support and trust in the Honda brand. Honda Malaysia is doing our best to deliver new models on a timely manner while ensuring the highest quality of our products and services.”

What’s more, the Honda Civic e:HEV RS is the first model in Malaysia to introduce the 2.0 l engine coupled with two electric motors paired to an Electric Continuous Variable Transmission (e-CVT) which gives the car a total output of 184Ps and 315Nm of torque.

The Honda Civic e:HEV RS is otherwise pretty much the same as the petrol Honda Civic RS on the inside and outside but the extra power from the hybrid powertrain really makes a world of a difference. What’s more, the car is pretty much perfect in every way as it is spacious and technologically advanced enough for most people.
