DFP invites you to witness the next generation of musical creatives in Malaysia
Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS (DFP) has launched Generasi DFP, a groundbreaking initiative aimed at nurturing Malaysia’s music and arts scene. For over 25 years, DFP has been a cornerstone of arts and culture in Kuala Lumpur, hosting a diverse array of artists and music genres. 
Emerging Talents
This year, Generasi DFP takes centre stage, providing a platform for aspiring singers, songwriters, and musicians to showcase their talents. Launched in March, Generasi DFP received an overwhelming response nationwide, with 100 audition videos submitted by artists and bands aged 18 to 30.
After a rigorous selection process by the DFP jury, 15 talented acts were shortlisted to perform debut concerts at DFP, promising a vibrant tapestry of musical genres and artistic expressions on stage. Among the solo artists are Fadzly, Syiqin Azln, Ruhil Ariana Wilson, Ee Vone, Ruebben Chelvan, Dekwa Cuwa, Amrita Soon, Khalyn Mulyani, Jo Lixian, and Mardiana. 
Meet The Features
The selected bands include Meruked, LOKO, Saiko Rama, Cherry On Top, and Sounds Like Sunday. These artists will captivate audiences across three concert series. The first concert, scheduled for Wednesday, 24 July 2024 at 8.30 pm, will feature performances by Fadzly, Syiqin Azln, Ruhil Ariana Wilson, Ee Vone, and LOKO.
In terms of artistes, LOKO, an indie band, gained fame with their debut single “Pujaan Hati,” achieving 1.6 million views on YouTube. Ee Vone, known for her R&B, pop, and soul influences, has released eight singles since 2022 and performed extensively in Penang. Syiqin Azln, at 25, made waves with her EP “Selamat Pulang”. 
What They’re Known For
Additionally, Fadzly, a 27-year-old advocate of Malay traditional music, has excelled in singing competitions in Johor. Ruhil Ariana Wilson, a classically trained pianist, has garnered accolades for her performances and is pursuing studies at Berklee Online. Support these emerging talents as they create unforgettable moments on the prestigious DFP stage.
