Celebrate The 2022 Balloon D’Or with Purnell
It looks like football fans won’t soon forget this year’s Balloon D’Or Ceremony courtesy of Purnell. Being the official partner of this prestigious ceremony for the second year running, Purnell is pulling out all the stops this year with an exclusive art piece, a performance by Maestro Andrea Bocelli and some priceless timepieces.
This year, the 66th Balloon D’Or Ceremony will be held on 17 October 2022 at the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris, France. The legendary Maestro Andrea Bocelli will be performing his iconic “Nessun Dorma” song at the opening ceremony and will also perform one of his signature songs for the audience’s pleasure.
On top of that, Purnell has also collaborated with professional gouache painter, Estelle Lagarde on an XXL technicolor painting entitled “GLORY TIME,” to further enhance the wow factor of the ceremony this year. This masterpiece will stand over 2 meters tall and 1.8 meters wide and took over 500 hours and 3 kg of paint to bring to life.
The best part is, that’s not all. The brand also has the 2022 Purnell x Ballon D’Or unique and priceless timepieces that will be awarded to the male and female winners of this prolific trophy. They will be similar to the Purnell x Ballon d’Or donned in 100 percent Swiss Made Transparent Sapphire.
Moreover, only three units of the latter watches will be made available exclusively for Purnell clients so yes, they are unattainable to 99.9 percent of the world. The worst part about it is, that the watch is any football fan’s dream watch, featuring a rotating football or soccer ball if you live in the land of the bald eagle.
Maurizio Mazzocchi, CEO of Purnell, said, “Football is the most popular sport in the world and the Ballon d’Or its most prestigious distinction. Purnell stands for the best, for the ultimate in the watch industry and could only attach its name to the very best players, the Ballon d’Or winners.”
“I think that Purnell and the Ballon d’Or share two essential values: very high standards of excellence and the taste for performance.” shares Pascal Ferre, Editor-in-Chief of France Football.
The Purnell x Ballon D’Or Sapphire Limited Edition will also see only three units being made with each one priced at CHF1 million each. Naturally, these watches will also be made exclusively available for Purnell’s clientele in their showroom on Rue du Rhone in Geneva, Switzerland.
