The BMW Shorties 2024 competition, Malaysia’s longest-running and most prestigious creative initiative, has announced its 10 finalists. This year’s theme, PULSE, celebrates the heartbeat of creativity and the drive that fuels storytellers. Chosen from a record 152 submissions, the finalists are now vying for the Grand Prize of RM80,000, which will be awarded at the BMW Shorties Awards Night.BMW Shorties 2024

A Passion

Sashi Ambihaipahan, Director of Corporate Communications and Sustainability at BMW Group Malaysia, shared that the enthusiasm for digital content creation continues to grow, with PULSE reflecting the surge in passion for creative storytelling. Nadiah Hamzah, one of the judges and an award-winning director, commented that this year’s entries perfectly captured the theme, showcasing the passion that propels Malaysia’s creative community forward. Fellow judge Tunku Mona Riza added that the diverse range of genres, from heartfelt dramas to bold experimental films, demonstrated the creativity and dedication of this year’s participants.Movie

The Awards Night and screening of the finalists’ works will take place on 7 December at REXKL, Kuala Lumpur, starting at 3:30 PM. Members of the public are invited to watch the films and vote for the People’s Choice Award online until 7 December, 6:00 PM. So don’t miss out on this extraordinary display of talent.
