Both new R 1250 models are powered by the legendary BMW boxer engine
BMW Motorrad Malaysia has unveiled the new BMW R 1250 R and BMW R 1250 RS, powered by the brand’s legendary boxer engine. These beasts have also been refined to deliver the ultimate sporty and dynamic touring experience while also bringing a suite of innovative features for a dynamic sports touring experience.

A New Style
Moreover, the new BMW sports tourers mark a new chapter in the success story of the purist roadster from BMW Motorrad. Both models have also now evolved into a meticulously honed and advanced form to provide even more riding pleasure for riding on winding country roads both solo or with a pillion.
As sports tourers, both the BMW bikes come equipped as standard with the BMW Integral ABS Pro, a braking system that offers more safety when leaning into bends and the Dynamic Brake Control (DBC), providing additional support during emergency braking by preventing unintentional throttle activation.
Safety first
Both models are also equipped with Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) as standard, ensuring excellent traction and a high level of riding safety. Alongside that is the standard inclusion of riding modes, namely, Pro and Eco, which provide additional individually configurable riding modes, both with various functionalities.
The heart of the new BMW sports tourer models are their air/liquid-cooled two-cylinder four-stroke boxer engines capable of delivering 136PS of power and 143Nm of torque resulting in an engine that delivers power smoothly cross the entire speed range, while maintaining outstanding fuel consumption and emission numbers.
The new BMW R 1250 R is available in either Racingblue or Blackstorm while the BMW R 1250 RS comes in either Lightwhite, Racingblue, Racingred or also Blackstorm.
