The new Perodua Axia starts from RM38,600
The Perodua Axia launched in 2014, and was well received, mainly because it offered excellent features for the price and is extremely fuel efficient. This replacement to the Perodua Viva and took over the mantle of “most affordable car in Malaysia.” Now the all-new model is open for booking and it is better than ever before.

Perodua President and CEO, Dato’ Sri Zainal Abidin Ahmad, said, “The All-New Perodua Axia is the latest model under the Perodua Smart Build (PSB), which means that it is part of a global production and component chain. The end result is a model that offers a wide range of selection for entry level car buyers and we believe that the All-New Perodua Axia offers the best value in its segment.”
Moreover, the all-new Perodua Axia takes everything that made its predecessor great and evolves it further. This is most apparent in the car’s fuel efficiency as the new model can potentially achieve a fuel efficiency rating of 27.4km/l based on the new Malaysian driving cycle mode compared to only 21.6km/l for the current model.
The biggest addition to this new Perodua vehicle, however, is the inclusion of the brand’s Advanced Driver Assistance System, Perodua’s Smart Drive Assist. A first for an entry level car. The car also comes equipped with VSC, ABS and EBD as well as hill start and traction control in all variants.
On top of that, the all new Perodua Axia will come in 4 variants, namely, the G, X, SE and AV variants. All variants are powered by a 1-litre engine paired to a D-CVT and the car comes in five colours, which are Granite Grey, Lava Red, Glittering Silver, Ivory White and a new colour, Coral Blue.
While the all-new Perodua Axia is decently equipped at all trim levels, the SE and top spec AV variants of the Perodua add a few more features such as power-mode, LED daytime running lights (DRLs), solar and security film as well as semi-bucket type seats with detachable headrests.
Additionally, the AV variant of the all-new Perodua Axia also adds exclusive features like a 7-inch TFT multi info display, a 9-inch display audio, two-tone semi-leather seats and six airbags. Prices range from RM38,600 and RM49,500 (without insurance and in West Malaysia). Full specification will be shared during the official launch.
