The 2024 Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid goes on sale in Q2 of 2024, Malaysia when?
German automaker, Porsche, has just introduced the new 2024 Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid SUV. This new variant also follows the styling cues of the recent mid-cycle refresh model. It is also the automaker’s most powerful Cayenne model yet and is set to replace the previous Turbo variant.
Under the hood of the 2024 Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid, available in both SUV and Coupe body styles, is its twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine making 591hp paired to a 174hp electric motor for a total output of 729hp and roughly 949Nm of torque giving the SUV a top speed of around 295km/h.
Moreover, Porsche also says that this powertrain can propel the Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid to 100km/h from standstill in just 3.5 seconds. The SUV also features a larger 25.9kWh battery pack, mounted under the cargo area. Porsche says a new 11-kilowatt on-board charger also allows for a charging time of under 2.5 hours.
This new Porsche SUV features adaptive air suspension as standard as well as a two-chamber, two-valve technology that allows for compression and rebound adjustability. Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus is also standard with Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control and rear-axle steering available as options.
The Porsche SUV also sports a unique front fascia, which features larger air intakes and painted wheel arches and lower rear fascia in body colour. Red brake callipers and two dual exhaust outlets add a sporty touch and the SUV features HD-Matrix Design LED headlights as standard.
On top of that, on the inside, the Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid stands out with its Race-Tex headliner, heated GT Sport steering wheel, aluminium door and dash trim, 18-way adjustable leather Sport seats as well as fourteen-way adjustable Comfort seats.
Porsche now also offers a new 15-watt, air-conditioned wireless charging pad in the car. The SUV receives the same improvements as the rest of the updated 2024 Cayenne lineup, including an updated dashboard that features a 12.6-inch curved digital driver display and a 12.3-inch infotainment screen.
Porsche also says that the Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid is available to order now and will begin sales in the U.S in the second quarter of 2024. Its price will start at USD148,550 (including destination charge), which translates to about RM 691,129. The E-Hybrid Coupe is a tad more expensive, starting at USD153,050 (RM 712,065).
The entry-level Porsche Cayenne retains its turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine that makes 348hp and 499Nm of torque and is cheaper than the Turbo E-Hybrid, starting at USD80,850 (RM375,993). However, the E-Hybrid variant is more affordable than the USD197,950 (RM 920,566) Cayenne Coupe Turbo GT, which makes 650hp.
