Renowned Japanese guitarist and singer-songwriter MIYAVI, American musician Gryffin and a full-day of Latin themed festivities will be adding more star power and excitement to Marina Bay Sands’ inaugural music festival, Where Music Takes Over, from 15 July to 2 August 2023. Here is the list.

Takamasa Ishihara, better known as MIYAVI, will take centre stage at Marina Bay Sands on 22 July 2023 as part of his Return of the Samurai Guitarist tour. Known to his fans as the “Samurai Guitarist,” the guitar virtuoso has released 13 studio albums since his solo debut in 2002 and is only getting more popular.

Moreover, his skilled and unique style of guitar playing has taken him on eight world tours across over 30 countries, and he has most recently released his latest album titled Imaginary in 2021. Now get ready to witness his greatness firsthand at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.

He also released a signature Telecaster with Fender guitars in 2021 as well and apart from his music, the multi- talented MIYAVI is also accomplished on the silver screen, with major roles in movies and films, such as Netflix thriller KATE, Oscar-nominated film Unbroken and Disney’s Maleficent 2.

On top of being a style icon, MIYAVI has also appeared as the face of Beats by Dr. Dre in Japan and in Moncler’s Beyond campaign. As the face of Gucci Japan, he has also appeared in Gucci’s Off the Grid campaign so no one can deny his prowess and talent as a musician.

Rounding up the festival’s new highlights is Latinfest 2023!, which is set to bring non-stop musical excitement with a line-up of exceptional artists to immerse you in the vibrant world of Latin music. This not only adds diversity but also a different layer of music to enjoy at the festival.

Held at Sands Expo & Convention Centre on 29 July, the one-day carnival of music will treat music fans to captivating performances of diverse musical styles, inviting all to dance, sing, and connect with the infectious rhythms and vibrant spirit of Latin music.
