Baghera/wines has continuously affirmed its status as the number one destination for fans of exceptional wines with impeccable provenance for 8 years now. This year, the Geneva-based auction house is heading to Singapore allowing Asian wine connoisseurs access to this range of European wines.
On 23 February 2023, the Baghera/wines’ monthly online auction concept, Wine O’Clock (WOC), will be the first step in this process in Singapore. The online sale, named “WINE O’CLOCK SINGAPORE #1,” is a unique collection of Domaine Jean-Yves Bizot wines from two European cellars.
Moreover, the Baghera/wines collection of wines has been slightly tweaked to suit the unique and refined tastes of Asian drinkers. This unique collection of wines solely from the Domaine Jean-Yves Bizot will feature 230 exotic bottles and magnums that is the perfect fusion of East and West.
In order to give credit to Domaine Jean-Yves Bizot, the estate cultivates 1.70 hectares of vines planted in the 1930s, as well as 25-year-old vines in Vosne-Romanee. The estate also markets wines from the Orveaux plot under the Echezeaux label, while the Treux plot produces wines marketed under the Vosne-Romanee 1er Cru label.
The Baghera/wines collection also features two white wines in the form of Bourgogne Blanc and Hautes Cotes de Nuits Blanc. This is a rare treat as Domaine Jean-Yves Bizot vintages have unceasingly impressed wine lovers with very scarce wines from a winemaker whose humility is as exceptional as his talent since 1996.
With production being so limited and coveted, it is no surprise that, tasting a bottle of Jean-Yves Bizot wine is one of the rarest experiences in the world. It is fortunate now that Asian wine lovers will have the chance to experience this unique wine experience that is usually reserved only for Europe.
In lieu of this inaugural Wine O’Clock sale in Singapore, Baghera/wines is set to entice passionate vintage wine lovers in Asia through an exceptional selection of wines from Domaine Jean-Yves Bizot, ranging from the early 2000s to 2019.
These rare bottles of wine being offered to the public for the first time, come from the collections of two European wine enthusiasts. Not only have the bottles been perfectly preserved in their owners’ cellars, but their transportation to Singapore is being undertaken by the expert Baghera/wines’ teams.
