Watchmaker Audemars Piguet has just added new shades of grey to its collection
Swiss luxury watchmaker Audemars Piguet has unveiled a striking new version of its Code 11.59 Selfwinding Flying Tourbillon Chronograph, now presented in a sophisticated 41 mm case. This latest iteration combines contemporary elegance with technical mastery, showcasing the intricate architecture of the Calibre 2952 movement.
A Symphony of Greys
The watch’s dial is a showcase of modern design, highlighting a range of grey tones that emphasise its complex mechanism. The light grey, semi-matt inner bezel, finished with circular snailing, features a white seconds scale. The rhodium-toned bridges and blackened mainplate create a dynamic visual contrast, with the barrel bridge at 12 o’clock enhancing symmetry.
Moreover, the chronograph counters at 9 and 3 o’clock are transparent, allowing a clear view of the movement’s gears. Polished pink gold hands and a matching balance wheel accentuate the flying tourbillon at 6 o’clock, ensuring that time and chronograph functions are easily readable.

The Code 11.59’s case blends 18-carat white gold with high-tech black ceramic, highlighting Audemars Piguet’s expertise in material science. The octagonal middle case and crown are crafted from black ceramic, while the bezel, lugs, and push-pieces are made of white gold.
Additionally, this advanced ceramic, created from Zirconium Oxide powder, undergoes a complex manufacturing process that enhances its scratch resistance and deep black hue.
