Mini has launched its latest lineup in Malaysia, showcasing their commitment to premium compact automobiles with a focus on “Charismatic Simplicity.” The event, attended by Florian Kuenstner, Vice President of Mini for Asia-Pacific, Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa, emphasised Mini’s enduring spirit of innovation and individuality over its 60-year legacy.
Opening Words
Benjamin Nagel, Managing Director of BMW Group Malaysia, highlighted the introduction of four new models, including two fully electrified options, marking a significant leap towards emission-free urban mobility.
Moreover, the new Mini Cooper SE and Mini Countryman SE ALL4 underscore Mini’s drive towards a sustainable automotive future while maintaining their hallmark driving enjoyment. The star of the launch was the Mini Cooper SE, the brand’s latest all-electric offering combining classic Mini charm with modern design elements. 
Classic Design
Its puristic design features, such as the octagonal front grille and sleek LED headlights, reflect Mini’s Minimalist approach and commitment to iconic aesthetics. Inside, the focus is on essential design elements and high-quality materials, enhancing both comfort and functionality.
Performance-wise, the Mini Cooper SE boasts impressive specifications with 218hp and a range of 387km to 402km on a single charge. Its dynamic handling and responsive steering provide an exhilarating driving experience, reMiniscent of Mini’s renowned go-kart feel.
Safety and convenience are paramount, with advanced driver assistance systems and innovative features like the Mini Operating System 9, which integrates seamlessly with the Mini Intelligent Personal Assistant for enhanced connectivity and control.
The launch also introduced other models including the Mini Countryman SE ALL4, Mini John Cooper Works (JCW) Countryman ALL4, and the Mini Cooper S, each offering unique attributes tailored to urban adventurers and driving enthusiasts alike.
