Oppo Malaysia has announced an update for the Reno11 Series, introducing the AI Eraser tool to democratise powerful generative AI photo editing experiences for all users.

Leon Wang, Director of Reno Series Product Planning Department, expressed that the Reno11 Series is pioneering by becoming the first smartphone line at its price point to offer such advanced generative AI image editing capabilities. This move underscores Oppo’s dedication to enhancing everyday experiences through accessible technology.

The AI Eraser feature empowers every Reno11 Series user to effortlessly remove unwanted objects from their photos by simply circling them. While similar tools exist, particularly on phones within the Reno11 Series’ price range, they often produce edits that appear noticeably altered, resulting in unnatural-looking images.

In contrast, AI Eraser for the Reno11 Series employs advanced generative AI algorithms to deliver class-leading, seamless edits, ensuring the best possible results for object removal. Essentially, Oppo Reno11 series users can now enjoy flagship-grade AI photo editing.

On top of that, imagine capturing a vibrant Holi festival selfie with friends, only to find a photobombing motorbike in the background. With AI Eraser, users can easily draw a circle around the unwanted object, allowing AI to intelligently identify and remove it while seamlessly filling the space with natural-looking content.

Updates Coming Soon

The result is a perfectly composed image that aligns with the user’s original vision. The AI Eraser feature will be made available to Reno11 Series users via an over-the-air (OTA) update, scheduled to roll out to devices in Malaysia from 10 April 2024.
