The dust has settled on Netflix’s latest live sports event. Taking place on Sunday, March 3, 2024, The Netflix Slam, saw 22-time Grand Slam men’s singles title champion Rafael Nadal face off against World No. 2 and fellow Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz.
The special one-night tennis exhibition match was hosted by MGM Resorts International and took place inside Michelob ULTRA Arena at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. Tennis greats Andy Roddick, Jim Courier, Mary Joe Fernández and Patrick McEnroe joined the Slam for on and off court commentary, alongside tennis analyst Prakash Amritraj and host Kay Adams. Home town legend Andre Agassi also made a special appearance in the booth.
After an intense battle and a thrilling tie-break, Alcaraz was crowned champion of Netflix’s live sports event. The Spaniard defeated his legendary compatriot 3-6 6-4 [14-12].
